Milestones are worth celebrating—and today, GFA marked two at once! The 100th day of school and the 100-day countdown to graduation happened to fall on the same day, an extra special moment in the school’s centennial year. From some of GFA's youngest students to soon-to-be graduates, the day was filled with energy, creativity, and a nod to the school’s history.
Cheers and excitement filled the halls as the first graders made their way across campus, kicking off the festivities with a parade. Each student proudly wore a t-shirt they designed themselves with 100 items of their choosing—googly eyes, feathers, drawings, stickers, Legos, and more! In a special nod to GFA’s Centennial, the parade also featured a tribute to the school’s history: students carried photos of each Head of School, honoring the leaders who shaped GFA.
Meanwhile, in the Upper School, seniors marked a milestone of their own—100 days until graduation. Gathering for a celebratory lunch in the McGrath Gallery, students took a moment to pause and reflect on their journey at GFA. Together, they reminisced about their favorite moments, posed for photos, ate pizza, and looked ahead to the exciting months to come.
Whether celebrating 100 days of learning or 100 days until a new chapter begins, the day’s celebrations highlighted the sense of joy and community that define GFA.
