GFA’s second annual Battle @ the Beach robotics tournament brought together teams from Hamden Hall, Greenwich Academy, Rye Country Day School, Sacred Heart Greenwich, CREC, plus a number of additional schools who visited to observe the matches. The event showcased teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition across a full weekend of matches.
GFA’s own Dylan ’29 received his VEX referee certification and helped officiate the tournament, ensuring smooth gameplay, while coaches jumped in to help with scoring and emceeing duties. Students and parents alike played an essential role in making sure that the event ran smoothly—from setting up and breaking down equipment, to providing snacks and lunches throughout the day.
The next GFA robotics event will take place during Pack the House, continuing the season of robotics excitement.
