GFA is pleased to announce this year’s seven National Merit Scholarship honorees: one Semifinalist and six Commended Students.
En Q. ’27 has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Competition and will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for a National Merit Scholarship. Six GFA seniors were also named Commended Students: Anya B. ’27, Fiona E. ’27, Ryan J. ’27, Abdallah N. ’27, Cara S. ’27, and Emily X. ’27.
More than 1.2 million students nationwide enter the National Merit Scholarship Program each year through the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and include the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
