Another Nationals Run for GFA’s Quiz Team

GFA’s Quiz Team recently reached the playoff round at Columbia University’s highly competitive “Turkey Trot,” a buzzer-based academic tournament that draws top teams from across the region. Their performance earned them the top small-school finish and a return invitation to the National Academic Quiz Tournament’s (NAQT) Small School National Championship Tournament. This marks the sixth time in seven years that GFA has advanced to Nationals, and as of now, the team will be the only Connecticut school competing when the tournament convenes just outside Chicago in late April. Representing GFA were Tristan ’26, Sean ’26, Oliver ’26, Tyler ’27, and Ryan ’28. It’s a strong achievement for the team—one well worth congratulating.
