GFA VOICES is an annual event that is open to all ages, divisions, and families, and is a showcase honoring all of us!
Date: Thursday, November 2
Time: Line Dance Workshop 5:00-6:00 p.m., Dinner and Program 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Location: The McGrath Gallery and Janet Hartwell Performing Arts Center

Join us on Thursday, November 2nd for a celebration honoring our diverse, multicultural community. Each member of our community brings a unique perspective, background, and set of experiences, which you are invited to share through music, dancing, stories, artwork, creative writing, and much more.

We also invite you to make and/or bring your favorite appetizer, salad, dessert, or main entree to be shared at the Multicultural Potluck Buffet Dinner. Please fill out this Google Form HERE to let us know what you plan to bring.

This year for GFA VOICES, we will also be featuring two very special events:

FASHION SHOW: There will be a fashion show segment for members of the GFA community to model and share their heritage through clothing. The emphasis is on sharing existing traditional attire or clothing items that hold cultural significance within your family. If you are interested in participating in the Fashion Show segment, please fill out this Google form HERE.

LINE DANCING WORKSHOP: Let's dance GFA! Have you always wanted to learn the steps to the most popular line dances? Are you ready to move and groove? Come show us what you've got and join us for this fun and interactive dance class that will be led by Rodney Eric López. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Rodney is an experienced dancer who was featured in the Paramount Classics hit documentary film Mad Hot Ballroom. Rodney is a master instructor of Latin and social dance and will be teaching us the steps to some of the most popular line dances like: The Electric Slide, The Cha-Cha Slide, The Cupid Shuffle, the Jerusalema dance, and much more! everyone is welcome to come and participate!
