On a beautiful November morning, Head of School Bob Whelan joined current and former trustees, architect Roger Ferris, Middle and Upper School student leaders, representatives from Claris Construction, and faculty and staff members to break ground on the site of the Athletics and Wellness Center (AWC), set to open in spring 2026.

Tolentino, a journalist and cultural critic who writes for The New Yorker and is author of the prizewinning book of essays, Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion, brought her unique perspective to campus.
Dr. Cristanne Miller, the world-renowned Dickinson scholar and co-editor of The Letters of Emily Dickinson visited GFA on Thursday, October 17. Dr. Miller is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Edward H. Butler Professor of Literature at SUNY Buffalo, where she also served as the Director of Arts Management Program and of the Digital Scholarship Studio and Network, which she co-founded.
Cara Sato-Connell ’27 recently received both Silver and Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award medals, in recognition of her more than 100 hours of volunteer service.
