Serra Nalbantoglu ‘25 and Beatrice Schlein ‘25 have been named Semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Competition. They will have an opportunity to continue in the competition for a National Merit Scholarship next spring. 

Combining their enthusiasm for community and nature, 20 lower school families spent a midsummer morning at the Sherwood Island Nature Center. 

This past June, a cohort of 10 GFA faculty members attended the AI Institute, led by Erin O’Grady and Nina Yuen. As part of this week-long initiative, attendees explored questions about the intersection between educational spaces and technology under the theme of “critical optimism.”

As our 8th-grade class prepares to enter the next exciting chapter of their educational journey, we take a moment to reflect on the memorable graduation ceremony that celebrated their achievements. 

Earlier this year, GFA celebrated a record number of students receiving regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. This month, the excitement continued as Scholastic released their list of National Medalists, which included three GFA Middle School students and two Upper School students.
