The spring musical, The Book of Names, is one unlike any other. Its story of the journey taken by hopeful American immigrants was written by GFA alumnus Jonathan Bauerfeld ’12 and writing partner Casey Kendall. The team collaborated with the Director of Theatre Programs Stephen Stout to adapt the music, characters, and length of the show specifically for GFA and its students.

Greens Farms Academy is pleased to announce that Wes Moore will deliver the Commencement address to the GFA Class of 2021 on June 10, and Mike Greenberg P '19, '21 will deliver the keynote address to the senior class at the inaugural Baccalaureate on June 9, 2021.
Ten seniors have been invited to showcase a piece in the Katonah Museum of Art's annual Young Artist exhibit this year, which opens Feb. 6 and runs until Feb. 28.
While GFA has always had a strong presence among the top Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, this year broke records for the number of award-winning students, and the number of awards. In the writing category, 28 GFA students won 51 awards. For arts, 13 students received awards.
The GFA Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble released their virtual winter concert today, a first for the department.
This month Senior Bella Bohnsack became the third GFA student in the school’s history — and the first female GFA student — to receive a prestigious YoungArts Award.
Last weekend, members of the varsity Quiz Team, Oliver Kennon ('21), Antara Singh-Ghai ('22), and AJ Tenser ('23), along with recent alum Annabel Roth ('20), competed in the National History Bowl, which had been canceled last spring.
Peter T. Esty, Head of School at Greens Farms Academy from 1998-2003 and an ardent supporter of independent schools and global education, died peacefully on November 15, 2020, in Andover, Mass. He was 83.
