Members of the GFA Quiz Team participated at the Harvard Fall Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10. The Harvard Tournament regularly draws some of the strongest teams from around New England and New York (and far away as Michigan and Kentucky) and is considered one of the toughest tournaments in our region. Twenty-five teams participated this year, including 12 of the top 150 ranked high school quiz teams in the country.
Willem Schuddeboom ('19), Oliver Diamond ('19), and Karsten Rynearson ('22) represented the GFA team, taking fourth place at the tournament with an 8–2 preliminary record before falling in the playoffs at the end of a very long day. The GFA team's only losses were to three teams ranked in the top 15 in the country.
Rynearson finished as one of the top five scorers overall and the top scorer among ninth graders.
