With Perry at the helm of Patagonia South America, the company recently won the Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE) from the U.S. Department of State for Climate Innovation for its conservation work in Argentina, partnering with conservationists to protect public land and ban farmed fishing, which is decimating the Patagonia region. Since her formative time on the Greens Farms campus, Rebecca Brock Dixon ’95 has shattered the glass ceiling as Managing Director of Mommybites and now as co-founder and CMO of the*gameHERs — where she and her partners connect and create a sense of community for female gamers and industry leaders. Read more

Sean Obi '13

Member since 2020

A 2013 graduate of Greens Farms Academy, Sean Obi earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and a master's degree from the University of Maryland. He has been a regular volunteer with the GFA boys basketball program and served as a member of the GFA Advisory Council during the 2019–20 academic year. Obi is currently a District Sales Manager and Supply Chain Specialist for Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits Company, an importer and distributor of wine and spirits from around the world. The company is headquartered in Stamford.

KIM KELLER RAVEIS '88, P '23, '25, '28

Kim Keller Raveis is a graduate of Boston College with a B.A. in Education. She worked in the software and management consulting industries providing strategic counsel to chief executive officers in the consumer packed goods and retail segments. She chose to leave her most recent position with BearingPoint (formerly KPMG) to raise her children. As a graduate of GFA, Raveis values the importance of giving back to her alma mater. She has served in multiple roles in the Parents Association, a member of the Advisory Council, and a parent- teacher in the “Learning to Look” art history program. Raveis lives in Fairfield with her three children.

EMILY VON KOHORN '96

Emily Von Kohorn attended GFA from kindergarten through graduation. She holds a B.A. in History and Literature from Harvard College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is the co-head of the Global Real Assets Practice at Sheffield Haworth, a financial services-focused executive search firm. Prior to becoming a search consultant, Von Kohorn worked primarily in real estate finance, with an interlude in education. While living Istanbul, Turkey, from 2011-15, she worked as the founding director of advancement for the Hisar School, a bilingual PreK–12 independent school. She is thrilled to bring her experiences and passion for GFA to the role as a second-generation board member, following her father, Henry Von Kohorn, honorary trustee. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, daughter and son.

LEADERSHIP

Current Alumni Council President, Michele Orris-Modugno ’76, is a lifelong Fairfield county resident with strong ties to the community. She has brought an energy and enthusiasm for the history of GFA to the role and has been regularly going through the school's archives. Along with Michele, Matt Hintsa ’06 and Gioia Ricco ’84 will be serving as Co-Vice Presidents to round out the Alumni Council leadership. Matt Hintsa worked in the Advancement Office at GFA for three years before leaving GFA for a role in Digital Engagement at Harvard University. Matt recently moved to Canada and is currently a Senior Communications and External Relations Officer at the University of Toronto. Gioia Riccio is not only an alumna and GFA Lifer, but is also the parent of Francesca Sullivan ’24. She is a long-time Alumni Council member, a Westport resident, and a radiologist and partner at Hammers and Riccio Imaging in New Haven.

Mission

The specific purpose of this award is to recognize the extraordinary achievements of one of our own. The recipient of this honor embodies the adage Quisque pro Omnibus or “Each for All.” The recipient should show strength, conviction and courage, and continue to be an inspiration to the entire GFA community through his or her role as friend, parent, sibling, volunteer, philanthropist and humanitarian.
