About John Humphreys

John Humphreys is entering his fifth season as head coach of GFA girls varsity golf team, having the lead the program to its first-ever FAA Championship a year ago.

Humphreys grew up in East Lyme, CT, and began playing competitive golf on a regional and national level in middle school.

After high school, Humphreys joined the University of Connecticut golf team and was a two-year captain. Following college, he pursued his love for golf and joined the apprentice program for the PGA of America.

Humphreys has been a Class A member of the PGA of America since 2007 and has been providing golf instruction for 20-plus years.
