Greens Farms Academy’s Anne Studnicky ’25 has announced her plans to row with the Boston University crew team next fall.
Anne is one of eight GFA athletes who was honored last month in the Coyle Gym as part of the school’s annual commitment ceremony for athletes who are continuing their student-athlete careers at a Division 1 or Division 2 university.
Competing with the Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport has helped prepare her for a college career on the water.
“Anne is such an important member of the Saugatuck junior women’s rowing team,” coach Michael O’Hara said. “She is always around the boathouse, always getting in extra workouts, studying video, and rooting teammates on. You can see the love she has for the sport and her team in the way she carries herself on and off the water.”
O’Hara said he expects Anne to make a splash both on BU’s campus and on the Charles River, where the Terriers train.
“I’ve been so proud to have been her coach since her days in our beginner/intermediate program,” O’Hara praised. “Anne will certainly make a fast impact on the Boston University crew program, and we can’t wait to see what she’ll accomplish in the next exciting chapter of her life.”
