Former Greens Farms Academy multi-sport standout Max Yates' 21 has earned All-American Honorable Mention status following his junior season at Colgate University.
According to the Colgate University athletics website, Yates and a teammate were named All-American Honorable Mention by USA Lacrosse on Thursday.
It was the second postseason for Yates, who earned First Team All-Patriot League honors on April 29.
Yates recorded a career-high 31 caused turnovers and 84 ground balls. He ranked second in the Patriot League and tied for seventh nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.07). Additionally, he finished fourth in the conference in ground balls and was fifth in ground balls per contest (5.60).
The junior logged a caused turnover in all but two games, including 10 contests with multiple CTs. He scooped up a career-high nine ground balls in the win over Loyola and broke his career-best with five caused turnovers in a victory at Bucknell.
