Jaxsen Bailey ’28, an incoming freshman at Greens Farms Academy, was one of eight competitors nationwide who earned USA Wrestling’s Triple Crown Award this summer.
The Triple Crown Award is given to wrestlers who won three different national championships over the course of the 2024 Kids Nationals competition.
Bailey, competing at 106 pounds, won national titles in freestyle and Greco Roman, while competing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa late last month, to earn the prestigious honor.
He had previously won the folkstyle national title while competing at a tournament in Indiana back in January.
“Jaxsen has proven that in his age category he is one of the best athletes in America,” said GFA wrestling coach Jack Conroy,. “Watching him develop as an athlete and young man has been outstanding and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him at GFA.”
At the tournament in Cedar Rapids, Bailey went 4-0 with a pin to win the 14U championship in Greco Roman. He completed his perfect run with a 10-1 technical fall in the championship match.
In the freestyle competition, Bailey was again 4-0 with two technical fall wins en route to the finals, in which he won a 7-5 decision.
