The Greens Farms Academy squash program has a couple of international standouts on its roster.
Oscar Hecker ’25 and his brother Owen ’26 were both named to German National Youth teams recently after competing internationally.
Owen Hecker won the German National Youth Squash U-17 championship while Oscar finished fifth in the U-19 category.
Their respective performances qualified both, each of whom has dual American-German citizenship, for further tournaments down the road.
Owen will compete in the European Team Squash Championships in Portugal this month while Oscar will compete in the World Junior Squash Championships this summer in Houston.
“Their nominations are well-deserved, and I’m thrilled for them,” GFA squash coach Attila Agh said. “It’s fantastic to see both boys excel not only in squash, but also their academics. Their dedication and hard work is inspiring.”
This winter, the Heckers were key cogs in the GFA squash lineup, helping the team place second at the New England Class B championship tournament, and fourth in the High School National Division II tournament.
