Eight Greens Farms Academy student-athletes were honored on Wednesday as part of the school’s annual Division I and Division II college commitment ceremony inside Coyle Gymnasium.
The event honored GFA students who either signed NCAA Letters of Intent, received “likely letters” from Ivy League institutions, or other official documentation.
Friends and family members were on hand to celebrate.
The athletes who were honored on Wednesday included: Gabriel Garibaldi (Wrestling, Princeton University), Ali Hood (Baseball, Lafayette University), Joey Iamunno (Wrestling, Brown University), Gavin Marshall (Crew, University of Pennsylvania), Ava Stevens (Sailing, Cornell University), Nate Taylor (Wrestling, University of Pennsylvania), Charlotte Walter (Lacrosse, Dartmouth College) and Ben Whelan (Crew, University of Wisconsin)
GFA Head of School of Bob Whelan and Director of Athletics & Physical Education Eric Lee look forward to hosting another group of student-athletes whose commitments are formalized by admission at a separate ceremony in the spring.
