Four members of Greens Farms Academy’s Class of 2020 were named Scholar Athletes by the Fairchester Athletic Association this spring.
The four—Ryan Boyle, Meg Nesi, Jack Ramsay and Stephanie Wistreich—received their honors on at their homes on Monday from GFA athletic director Tauni Butterfield and members of the athlete’s coaching staffs.
“To have four of our students named Scholar-Athletes out of one of our smaller graduating classes is remarkable,” Butterfield said. “And even more impressive is that all of them are multi-sport athletes, and two of them are three-sport athletes.”
Boyle was a member of the girls soccer, squash, and tennis teams, while Ramsay was a member of the boys soccer, basketball, and tennis teams.
Nesi and Wistreich are both two-sport athletes. Both play lacrosse, while Nesi is a five-year starter in volleyball and Wistreich played soccer.
The FAA Scholar Athletes are handed out to student-athletes who are named All-League in a sport during their senior year while also maintaining both a grading average of 91 and being in the top of 10 percent of their class. All also must take at least three AP courses.
