A year ago, when our Dragons reported back to the Greens Farms Academy campus for the start of the 2018 fall sports season, nobody knew what was to come.
By the time snow fell come winter, though, each and every varsity team from the fall had made the postseason with one winning a New England championship, one finishing as New England runners-up, and two playing for FAA league championships.
It started an school year that became the most successful athletic run in GFA’s history with every varsity team but one making the postseason over the 2018-19 school year.
That’s 23-for-24, if you’re counting.
A total of 11 athletes from the Class of 2019 would take their talents to play in college, leaving in their wake both momentum and pressure.
On a hot and humid Monday, more than 100 Dragons returned to campus again for the start of another fall sports season—this time the 2019 chapter.
Familiar faces and new faces came together for the first time, writing the first line of new stories across two new turf fields and beyond.
Who will shine the brightest?
Who will surprise us the most?
What’s in store for GFA athletics in 2019-20?
