Greens Farms Academy is hosting a new-look “Pack The House” this weekend, giving the Dragons student-athletes and their fans twice as much fun by spreading the action out over two nights.

Wrestling will be showcased on Friday night with basketball and squash taking center stage on Saturday.

“It's an incredibly exciting opportunity to expand 'Pack The House' to a two-day event, showcasing our athletes to a greater degree with additional spotlights,” said GFA Upper School Athletic Director Jen Harris. “We are eager to host multiple top-tier opponents, and fill the stands with community support.”

This is the 13th winter the GFA community will come together to “Pack The House” and support the school’s winter sports programs while raising money for charity.

This year’s event will benefit the Norwalk-based Full Court Peace, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting and strengthening local communities through basketball.

The action—and the fun—will begin on Friday night when GFA’s nationally renowned wrestling program will host another regional power in Northfield Mount Hermon.

The match begins at 6 p.m. in the Coyle Gym.

“I’m super excited to showcase wrestling,” GFA wrestling coach Jack Conroy ’06. “It’s a rare place that appreciates wrestling and GFA has really embraced our wrestling culture and we’re excited to show people what we’re about.”

On Saturday, also inside the Coyle Gym, the Dragons’ varsity basketball programs will host a Pack The House doubleheader.

The 9-2 GFA girls squad will tip-off against Putnam Science Academy at 4 p.m.

Soon after, the boys play the Wooster School with a tentative start time of 5:45 p.m.

The GFA Student Athlete Activity Council also has some fun events planned as part of the basketball doubleheader, including halftime games and more.

Also on Saturday, the GFA squash program will host in-town rival Staples High School for a pair of matches.

Both the boys and girls matches will begin at 4:30 p.m., inside the GFA Squash Center.

As an added bonus, the GFA wrestling program will take part in a pair of highly anticipated dual meets earlier in the day.

These meets are unaffiliated with "Pack The House", but the Dragons will be hosting two of the top wrestling programs in the country in Wyoming Seminary and St. Benedict’s. Northfield Mount Hermon will also be on hand to compete against both schools.

Wyoming Seminary is the defending National Prep School champions while St. Benedict’s placed 17th out of 98 schools that competed at nationals. GFA was seventh in the nation last winter with Northfield Mount Hermon placing eighth.

Saturday’s meet will begin at 11 a.m.
