At GFA, we are a community — more like a family. We are a school with athletics and academics. I have been going to GFA since kindergarten so I know the place pretty well.
Ok now, let’s start small. Most of you probably know my twin sister Asmara. My older sister, Laila, is currently a senior. Then my other older sister Ililta graduated from UCLA in the year of 2018.
Now a little bigger. My Dad, whom you refer to as Mr. Pina, works as a college guidance counselor in the Upper School. My mom normally comes to every GFA event.
GFA is an important place to me because it's an amazing school with amazing people. I personally enjoy the company of my friends in not just Middle School, but also Lower School and my sisters’ friends in the Upper School. I also know a lot of teachers who help us learn and help us prepare for a life of purpose. Remember to think outside the box and believe in yourself.
Now I leave you with a familiar phrase: "GFA engages students as partners in an innovative, inclusive, and globally minded community to prepare them for a life of purpose."
