One of the great joys at GFA is the ability for students from all three divisions - Lower, Middle, and Upper School - to partner with one another. There is something magical about the experiences we are able to have and the information we are able to learn with and from one another.
This fall, Kindergarteners got outside with 8th graders, Juniors, and Seniors to pick apples right here on campus. The following week they got to use those fresh apples to make apple cider! Lower School science teacher, Sofi Kurtz, along with the help of two special farmers, taught the students how apple cider is made. The Kindergarteners participated in each step of the process. Enjoy this video of our young farmers, picking apples, making cider, and enjoying their yummy creation! You can check out the photos from their adventures on our Flickr.
