On Friday, December 16, GFA Upper and Middle Schoolers rang in the holiday season with their annual Scream Along. Beginning with a reading of the Grinch, Head of School Bob Whelan and Director of Theatre Kellie Comer made a fa-la-la-la-lasting impression on the PAC, a sight for sore ice on the gloomy and cold Friday before break.
After the reading, you snow the drill. Upper School kicked off their scream along with “The Chanukah Song” by Adam Sandler, ringing in holiday cheer with acoustic accompaniment from Mr. Whelan and fellow students.
The Scream Along concluded with the best thing since sliced gingerbread, “Twelve Days of Christmas.” Each part sung by a different grade and section in the PAC, the scream along was certainly a tree-mendous way to begin holiday break.
You might say that all of the festivities had a bit of a snowball effect, as students, faculty and staff alike left the PAC filled with holiday cheer that would make even the Grinchiest of souls Santa-mental.
