Former NBA Player Chris Herren Speaks to Grades 8-12 about Substance Use Prevention

Recently, GFA hosted Chris Herren, a former NBA player, for a talk on addiction with students and faculty from grades 8-12. Over the past 15 years, Herren has dedicated himself to sharing his journey with over two million students, underscoring the pivotal decisions young people face. During his visit, Herren shared his struggles with substance abuse, his journey to recovery, and his commitment to positively impacting others' lives. After his powerful presentation, students participated in reflective advisory sessions to discuss the impactful stories and insights shared.
