For the second time in as many years, the GFA girls lacrosse team has an All-American. Connecticut Lacrosse announced today that senior Kate Paliotta has made the US All-American team, joining Ingrid Backe '16 and Reid Berrien '04 as the only girls lax players to receive this distinction.

GFA Theatre Gets 13 Nominations, 1 Big Win

GFA scores another first this spring, with theater students receiving a total of 13 HALO Award nominations for Oklahoma! and The Laramie Project. And in this first year of participation in the HALOs, they came home with an award for Best Contemporary Play for The Laramie Project.

Last month the Town of Westport Planning and Zoning Board approved three separate projects on the Greens Farms Academy campus: a parking renovation/expansion, new athletic fields, and a small addition/renovation to the maintenance building.

Boys Basketball at Home Saturday in NE Semifinals

They breezed past Berwick Academy (Maine) in the first round of New Englands Wednesday (93-74), and now the boys basketball team will move on to the semi-final round, taking on Hamden Hall here at home Saturday, March 4, at 2:00PM. The finals are Sunday, March 5. GFA's fencing team also finishes its season this weekend with States at Hopkins on Saturday, starting at 9:00AM.

As a response, GFA faculty look for ways to help students see themselves in a larger context, outside of their natural group of friends. This summer, Middle School officials decided that one way to foster a broader sense of community would be to institute a "House" system. Think Harry Potter and the four houses of Hogwarts.
