"Houses" Find a Home at GFA
Monday, November 21, 2016
In the middle school years, it's tempting to focus on oneself to the exclusion of the bigger picture. As a response, GFA faculty look for ways to help students see themselves in a larger context, outside of their natural group of friends. Patrick Howard '19 and Macy Lawton '18 play the respective roles of Curley and Laurey, a cowboy and farm girl who become romantically entangled amid trying times in the burgeoning territory.

She was pretty sure there was no way she could do both. But to her delight (and to the delight of the GFA Theatre Department), she learned that this wasn't the case. Now, for the GFA premiere of "Oklahoma!," she has become an integral part of the show as a stage manager and a member of the pit orchestra.
