Murphy leads Dragons to FAA girls lax title game


GFA sophomore Ella Murphy, above left, came up with the biggest lacrosse game of her career on Wednesday as the Dragons advanced to their first FAA championship game in years.

Murphy scored six goals to lead the Dragons to an 11-8 win over Holy Child in a league semifinal showdown.

Boys Lax Ousted in FAA Quarterfinals


The GFA boys lacrosse team saw its season end on Monday with a 17-4 loss to King Low Heywood Thomas in the FAA quarterfinals.

The Dragons were the sixth seed while King was seeded No. 3.
