Capital Giving

Capital Giving funds major strategic objectives that are identified by the Board of Trustees above and beyond the day-to-day administration of GFA. Strategic objectives include facilities, program, endowment, or a combination thereof.

GFA is deeply indebted to the many families who have invested in our campus and helped secure financial stability through Capital Giving. These donors have provided the resources necessary to construct the new outdoor athletic facilities and tennis courts, build the amphitheater, complete the Lower School, Upper School, Science wings, launch the World Perspectives Program, and build our endowment.

GFA recently embarked on Lead with Excellence, a five year, comprehensive capital campaign to complete our campus and strengthen our financial foundation.

MYTHREALITY

One family paid for the squash courts.

$3M necessary to build the new courts was raised through the commitments of many families

GFA received a lead gift of $5M for the Performing Arts Center.

GFA has never received a single gift or pledge of more than $1M

GFA is sitting on a war chest.

Our net endowment ($35.5M) sits right in the middle of our peer schools. Some have endowments of nearly $100M.

The Performing Arts & Global Studies Centers and Squash Courts are finished and so is the Capital Campaign.

We still need more than $5.5M to reach our goal of $21M allowing us to renovate and expand our fitness center, have a dedicated wrestling gym, and increase endowment in support of Financial Aid & Faculty.

In order to give to the Campaign, you must write a check on the spot.

This couldn't be farther from the truth! In fact, majority of donors pledge an unrestricted gift and make payments over five years on a schedule of their choosing.
