As Director of Advancement at Greens Farms Academy, I get to see first-hand the tremendous community we have here. The innovative and challenging academic program and state-of-the-art facilities that today's GFA students enjoy are a testament to our community's continued support.

The commitment of our parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends has helped to ensure that GFA continues to flourish and evolve with the times since its founding in 1925.

The careful stewardship of our Board of Trustees and the collective financial backing of all of the school’s constituencies has enabled GFA to grow while ensuring its long-term fiscal health. Every gift to GFA represents an important tribute to the value of a GFA education and to our school motto, Each for All.

And now, as we look to complete what has been a decade of achievement at GFA with our capital campaign, Lead with Excellence, I am confident that our community will embrace this initiative and rise to the challenge of meeting the school’s goals, and completing its vision.

Charitable Giving at GFA

As with all independent schools, GFA relies on the charitable support of
parents and alumni to help fund current programs as well as support the school’s endowment and underwrite new facilities. Every year, the GFA community is asked to support Annual Giving to meet operating budget needs that are not covered by tuition alone. Annual Giving comprises 7% of GFA’s operating budget.

In addition to Annual Giving, a critical component the financial health of the school, the school will embark on a capital campaign from time to time. Capital campaigns and Annual Giving run concurrently, and our hope is that parents will maintain their level of Annual Giving support year to year, while making an additional commitment to capital initiatives during a capital campaign.

Our current campaign, Lead with Excellence, is a five-year initiative to complete our campus and support our people through increased endowment. The success of this campaign will depend of the support of our entire GFA community.

We hope that parents will make the school one of their philanthropic priorities each year, and especially during a capital campaign.
