The Arts at GFA are thriving from pre-kindergarten through senior year. Faculty members in both the Performing and Visual Arts are professional artists in their own right, and infuse their teaching with the experience they bring from the professional world. Students learn basic techniques and are then encouraged to explore fully the world of composition, creativity and production. They participate in concert performances, recitals, musicals and plays, and have represented the school in All-Region, All-State, and All-National ensembles, as well as Shakespeare competitions, and have performed in Carnegie Hall. Visual Arts students also exhibit photography, art, and video in local and national venues such as the Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards, Stamford Art Association, Fairfield Museum Exhibition, Westport Magazine, Drexel University, The Greenwich Film Festival, The Bruce Museum, The Katonah Museum of Art, and the International Youth Film Festival.
