In early December, a group of seven students and four faculty traveled to Philadelphia to participate in the People of Color and Student Diversity Leadership Conference (POCC/SDLC). Approximately four thousand members of the independent school community were in attendance, and in the words of our students, "It was electric!" Both adults and students learned about the breadth of diversity and how to celebrate both differences and commonalities. The students returned with a new perspective and ideas for carrying what they learned through the school year.
