Athletes of the Week
This honor recognizes one male and one female athlete, who have displayed outstanding performance, leadership, and sportsmanship in his or her particular sport.  Athletes are nominated by their team coach and are selected on a weekly basis.  Nominations are open to all JV, Varsity, and 3rds teams.

Athletes of the Week for this week are.......

Kenner Clark - Varsity Boys Cross Country

Kenner Clark likes to run on Saturdays! He took on a hilly course at the Wickham Invitational in Manchester on an unseasonably hot day. There, he placed third amongst the GFA runners with a finishing time of 18:54. In his next meet, Clark traveled to King in Stamford for their Homecoming Invitational. It was there that he recorded his best time of the season at 18:21 and finished 1st overall, leading the GFA Dragons to a solid victory over King. Greens Farms expects Clark to continue to set high standards for the rest of the team and finish strong
in his upcoming meets.

Joanna Moley - Varsity Girls Cross Country

Just recently returning from injury, Joanna Moley has fallen right back in to stride as one of the top female runners for the Greens Farms Academy Cross Country team. She has finished at the top of the pack in both of her last races. While running in Manchester at the Wickham Invitational, Moley finished first for GFA with a time of 24:59. In just her next performance, she knocked off almost two minutes at the King Invitational, earning her personal best with 23:07. GFA will continue to look to Joanna for improvement in her times and additional top performances for the remainder of the season.
