Community Service Opportunity in NYC |

 This Friday and Saturday, March 4 & 5, join the GFA junior class on its annual community service project, YSOP. Join us on Friday evening (starting at approx. 4:30 p.m.) and/or on Saturday (starting at approx. 8:00 a.m.) as we work with the homeless in New York. Sunday, March 6: Adrienne Ruger Conzelman '88, owner of ARC Fine Art, will be holding an opening for a show of artwork by Olivia Munroe '71. The opening will go from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at 3113 Bronson Road in Fairfield, CT. Sunday, April 17: Alumna author Carol Wallace '73 will speak at the Pequot Library in Southport, CT at 4:00 p.m. Her novel, Leaving Van Gogh, is about Van Gogh and his psychiatrist. This will be the first event for the book which will not be released to booksellers until a few days later! |

Nominations for Distinguished Alumni Award |

With Reunion 2011 just around the corner, the Office of Alumni Relations is accepting nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award, presented annually at Reunion to an alumnus/a who embodies the following description:
The specific purpose of this award is to recognize the extraordinary achievements of one of our own. The recipient of this honor embodies the adage Quisque pro Omnibus or “Each for All.” The recipient should show strength, conviction and courage, and continue to be an inspiration to the entire GFA community through his or her role as friend, parent, sibling, volunteer, philanthropist and humanitarian.
