Commuting Via Metro North

Over 140 students travel to and from GFA every day by train. The Greens Farms railroad station is a two-minute walk to the GFA campus, and both the town and the school have worked to provide a safe roadside pathway for walking back and forth.

Families of younger children have organized "train parents", and each day, one parent volunteers to accompany the youngest riders all the way to school. Older students find the train convenient when they need to stay late for sports or meetings.

The GFA business office handles ticket sales, and families order, pay for and receive student tickets through the GFA office instead of having to go to a Metro North station. Each year sees more students using this convenient and nearby mode of transportation.
