A crew from NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was at GFA on Monday, July 20th, to tape a segment about the Horizons program. Correspondent Rehema Ellis interviewed Horizons students and teachers in an effort to capture what makes the program such a success. The segment aired on July 23rd. Horizons at GFA provides educational support and enrichment opportunities to underserved children from Bridgeport each summer in a six-week academic program. This is the program's 10th summer at the school, and numerous GFA students and alumni return each summer to work with the kids. Click HERE to view the NBC segment.
