This past spring, we completed fundraising for GFA's new outdoor athletic facilities. The master plan for these facilities was developed to meet the growing needs of our athletic program across all three divisions and was an integral part of the 2008 Advance Plan for the school. The project has given GFA five correctly-sized and well-oriented fields for soccer, field hockey and lacrosse, a permanent baseball infield and eight tennis courts. The showcase synthetic turf field was built with Thermoplastic Elastomer infill (TPE), a sustainable and eco-friendly technology that incorporates recycled plastics (rather than the traditional crumb-rubber) into the infill product.
Capital fundraising efforts for the 2011-12 school year are focused on building up the school's endowment to help ensure the long-term financial health of the school.
