Tariq Qaddourah is starting has second season with the Dragons as the Assistant Coach for the Boys Varsity Soccer program. Qaddourah comes to GFA from Westport's Fast Fitness and Sports Training where he serves as the founder and co-owner.
Tariq is a Certified Personal Trainer and is a Certified Coach in the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), specializing in the development of individual and group training programs for sports such as soccer, football and track.
As a professional soccer player and track and field competitor in his youth, Tariq developed a disciplined approach to fitness and a commitment to excellence in all his athletic pursuits. This philosophy has carried over into his career as a personal trainer. Since founding FAST Fitness almost ten years ago, Tariq has consistently sought to promote and implement innovative exercise techniques. With his pioneering vision and the recent installation of state-of-the-art equipment, FAST has become the preeminent training facility in the Westport community.
Tariq has participated in and received Certification for the Athlete's Performance Core and Functional Training Mentorship Programs I, II, and III in California and Arizona, designed specifically for and attended solely by professional athletes. At these seminars, he specialized in the concepts of movement preparation, rehabilitation, pillar strength, absolute speed, multi-directional speed, plyometrics, recovery, regeneration and cardiovascular training.
FAST is one of the first facilities on the East Coast (and the first in Fairfield County) to promote this revolutionary core training and provide the high-tech equipment expressly designed for this program. Tariq's astute ability to identify viable new fitness trends distinguishes him among his peers and serves to illustrate his profound dedication to helping his clients attain their personal fitness goals, regardless of skill level or ability.
Tariq has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport. He is certified in CPR and first aid, and he is a member of NSCA.
