Vocal Music

The Concert Choir performs throughout the year in both school and community events. This is a wonderful introduction to choral music with an emphasis on vocal techniques, sight singing and the art of performing in an ensemble. The repertoire includes works from Baroque through the 21st century, both sacred and secular.

Students who have been in the Concert Choir for at least a year may audition for the Chamber Choir. Students must know how to sight sing to be part of this small group, which is typically between 12-16 members, tackling more difficult work from Renaissance music to music of the 21st century.

The video above shows GFA's Chamber Choir performing the spiritual "My Lord What a Morning" during the 2010 Dr. Martin Luther King Assembly.
