Fifth Graders Win Math Olympiad Awards

Three Greens Farms Academy students, Jules Becker, Jack Davenport and Jack Mackle were awarded silver pins for their problem solving ability in the Mathematical Olympiads. They were among nearly 150,000 students worldwide to participate in this year's Math Olympiad program which is a series of five monthly contests each containing five challenging problems. Silver pins are awarded to students who scored in the top 90th to 97th percentile.  Rose Ann Martinez, fifth grade math teacher at GFA is extremely proud of her fifth graders. Mrs. Martinez claims that all three of these GFA students are well rounded and have worked diligently in math and all of their other subjects too. Jules Becker and Jack Davenport were also awarded team trophies for scoring the most points on the Lower School team.
