Class Trips
Sixth Grade: Camp Hazen in Chester, CT
For three days and nights at the start of the school year, sixth graders visits Camp Hazen to become closer as a group and challenge themselves through group and individual activities. These activities include climbing towers, ropes courses, swimming, and boating.




Seventh Grade: Alton Jones Campus of University of Rhode Island in West Greenwich, RI
Seventh graders have the opportunity to visit the Alton Jones Campus of the University of Rhode Island at the start of the school year for a three day, two night trip. The trip is designed to support the curriculum in both American Studies and Science through interactive projects that allow the students to experience Ecology, challenge courses, and issues related to the Underground Railroad. All of this is done in addition to hiking, orienteering and other activities designed to challenge the students.


Eighth Grade: Government Trip to Washington, D.C.
After spending two-thirds of the year studying the U.S. government, students have the opportunity to meet officials and see the political system in action. The goal of this trip is to allow the students to see their government at work. This happens through meetings set up with newsmakers, visits to monuments and museums, and interactive projects. In addition, this four-day, three-night trip includes fun in the pool and possibly a sporting event.
