Community Service

Community Service has always been central to the mission of Greens Farms Academy. Lower School students, in addition to their annual collections of food, clothing and toys for the needy have sponsored two children through Save the Children program. The students not only raise funds to provide the $300/yearly sponsor fee for each child, but have provided gifts and corresponded regularly with their friends Mali and in Kentucky. Lower School students also take part in Service Learning in individual classrooms, as teachers and students choose from a number of different age-appropriate projects, including recycling, visits to convalescent and special needs homes, environmental awareness and clean-up, caring for our Audubon birds and trails, and sponsoring Fidelco guide dogs and their pups.
