GFA students have multiple opportunities to engage with the wider world, from pulling on waders to take water samples in the neighboring salt marsh, to exchanging information with students in India via their laptops.
Horizons at GFA attracts hundreds of underserved students from neighboring Bridgeport to summer classes, giving GFA students the opportunity to be counselors and tutors.
The school-wide focus on thinking globally brings professionals from all walks of life into the classrooms. Many classes also take advantage of the proximity to both New York City and New England for field trips and off-campus learning.
